Drawing an alphabet – Z

Initial idea: folded paper

As if the letter was made from a narrow strip of paper. Emphasising the zigzag of the ‘Z’ is an obvious thing to do.

The stripes make it more interesting, especially because they allow the addition of the ‘highlights’ which give it it a lively shimmer / 3D effect.

This is part of a project to draw the letters of the alphabet in different styles.
