Drawing an alphabet – X

Initial idea: crossover

Of course ‘X’ is made from one thing crossing another. I was thinking of emphasising that by using a stencil effect (gaps between the parts as if one half was going behind the other) but I preferred this more unified mark.

The curves lively it up and make it more mysterious. I like that it’s an almost solid block and that it’s close to not being an ‘X’. Might actually be better rotated 90°.

This is part of a project to draw the letters of the alphabet in different styles.
